Bielik is a variety that is eligible for very early harvest and for cultivation under a plast/fibertex after tuber sprouting. It forms thick and strong lightsprout. Tubers of Bielik variety needs longer pre-sprouting period. Pre-sprouted tubers quickly build a compact and low canopy. The very high resistance to the Y virus corresponds the excellent health of the canopy the field. In the first harvest period (i.e. 40 days from full emergence), it achieves a marketable yield of 112% compared with a standard variety. Bielik forms a high number of middle-sized tubers high in the ridge. For that reason it is recommended to plant tubers deeper to prevent tubers from turning green. The tubers are well-shaped, the skin is perfectly smooth and the eyes are very shallow. The taste of Bielik will surely satisfy all lovers of white-flesh potatoes. It is a variety that does not cause any difficulties in storage and it retains its taste for a long time.
