Tuluza

High starch yield already in the second half of August.

Variety characteristic:

Tuluza is a medium-sized plant with a compact canopy that covers the ridges well. On average, 18 homogenous tubers can be found under the mother tuber. Starch content is above 19%. In the rich and well mantained soil the starch content can reach 20.5%. In combination with a high total yield potential, this translates into a high starch yield. Tuluza has slightly increased water requirements and will perform well in irrigated plantations. During cultivation and in COBORU tests, Tuluza always yielded above the standard variety (102-110%).

Site requirements:

Tuluza is a variety with medium soil and fertilizer requirements. It has increased water requirements. It copes well with short periods of water shortage, but after a longer drought, cracks may appear. Despite this, it yields quite steadily over the years.
