Above-average appearance and high commercial yield.

 

Variety characteristic:

Cyranka forms uniform tubers with very shallow eyes and smooth skin. This makes it ideal for washing and packaging. In COBORU registry studies, it stood out with a high total and commercial yield, an average of 108% of the standard. During registry studies, in 2023, it achieved the highest yield among the tested varieties. It creates a fairly high, dense canopy that thoroughly covers the ridges, preventing weeds from growing. During the inflorescence period, it is characterized by very intensive purple-pink flowering. It reveals good storage ability. Tubers begins to sprout in early spring. No susceptibility to storage diseases was noted.

Site requirements:

Cyranka has medium demands to soil quality, water supply and fertilization. It produces a good yield in both dry and wet years. In optimal conditions, very high tuber yield can be obtained. Tolerant of periodic water shortages.
