Extremely attractive tuber appearance – shallowest eyes among all varieties from our breeding station and excellent taste.

 

Variety characteristic:

The undoubted advantage of this variety is its outstanding resistance to common scab. It can be successfully grown on soils where Streptomyces scabies exists. Ismena is a tall plant with flabby and long stems. Ismena provides high yield of rather few medium big tubers middle and deep in the ridge. Therefore, shallower planting in the ridge can be undertaken. Almost entire potato yield is a commercial fraction. Ismena is a benchmark on the table potato market thanks to its optical appearance. The well-shaped tubers attract with their very shallow eyes, smooth skin and unique brightness. This variety shows a delicious culinary qualities. It takes a little longer to cook it.
Ismena reaches a physiological maturity 93 days after planting.

Site requirements:

Ismena has middle demands to soil quality, fertilization and water supply. Soils in good agricultural conditions, hummus-rich soils are advantageous for ensuring good tuber quality.
